Pumpkin Light—View from the Camp

The small island beyond the ledge is Buck Island—a nesting area for terns. Beyond Buck Island, in the distance, is Pumpkin Light, at the northwest corner of Little Deer Isle. Pumpkin Light marks the entrance to Eggemogin Reach, a wide deep channel that connects Penobscot Bay with Blue Hill Bay.
