Here’s What's Currently Available
| Five Necky (Old Town sister company) Manitou 14’s. These are brand new (Red) ocean-style kayaks with a retracting skeg for excellent tracking on open water. These kayaks have excellent dynamics and are easy to paddle. They got great reviews last summer! |
| Two Old Town Dirigo 14’s. These 14-foot kayaks are sturdy, well-designed, and easy to paddle. They are very similar to the Nantucket model, which was a favorite last year, and Nantucket lovers should feel very much at home in the Dirigo. They have a larger cockpit than the 14-foot Necky, making them easier to get in and out. |
| Two Old Town Nantuckets. This model was replaced by the Dirigo. They are 14ft. long and the cockpit is a bit larger than the Necky making them easier in and out. Deb and I have used these for a few years. They are in beautiful shape, well designed and paddle easily; a nice basic design and a sturdy boat. |
| Two Necky II Tandem Kayaks. These new tandems have an excellent design with separate cockpits, making them a safer boat in choppy water. Rudders are included and are important in a tandem for steering and easy tracking. |
| Two Wilderness Systems Tsunamis. These are all but brand new and are 14ft. in length. They are a well-designed and well-made ocean-styled kayak. They are relatively light weight and track very well. |
| One Precision Kayak. This kayak is a bit older and scratched but still in good shape and has been paddled all over Penobscot Bay. It's 14 feet long and a nice ocean-style kayak. |
| One Old Town Otter. The Otter is designed for a child and is suitable for paddling in the cove and along the shoreline. This was John’s starter kayak. While fully functional, it has some scratches; otherwise in great shape. |
